Egyptian Steel Celebrates the Opening of 12th Village in Suhag Governorate

Egyptian Steel Group inaugurates the development and revamping project of “Jeihena” village in Suhag Governorate, in the presence of the Chairman of the Group Mr. Ahmed Abou Hashima, the Minister of Industry and Trade Tareq Qabeel, the Minister of Investment and International Cooperation Dr. Sahar Nasr and the Governor of Suhag.

Jeihena Gharbia in Sohag is the 12th village in the initiative of Egyptian Steel Group in cooperation with Dar Al Orman Association and the Ministry of International Cooperation, which recently joined as a partner in the initiative after signing a cooperation to support this initiative which aims to revamp 40 villages all around Egypt as a first phase.
The development project included the revamping & furnishing of 50 houses, providing poor families with 50 heads of cattle, as well as an insurance policy of 400 pounds per month, helping 10 girls marriage arrangements, providing 10 wheelchairs for people with special needs in addition to financing 24 micro-enterprise projects.
Egyptian Steel Group’s initiative to revamp the neediest village in Egypt was launched by businessman Mr. Ahmed Abou  Hashima in June 2014 and has finished the reconstruction of 11 villages in different governorates including Mahdy Al Akhram, Al Gharkad and Abo Saleh villages in Beni Suef.

Governorate, Al Sheikh Fadl in Al Menya Governorate,  Awlad Yehia’s village in Sohag Governorate, Al Nekhila village in Assiut Governorate, Al Sheikh Ali in Qenna Governorate, Al Kherba village in North Sinai in addition to 3 villages in Al Behira Governorate (Al Zohour, Meseda and Qetaa) that were flooded in the winter of 2016, Toshka village in Aswan governorate and Afouna village in Al Behira Governorate where the initiative renovated the damaged houses by installing  windows and supplying water and electricity. 
The total numbers of houses that were revamped during the initiative are 709 houses, the total head of heads cattle there were distributed are 550 cattle also 76,000 kg of meat were distributed in addition to 6700 pieces of clothing, 50000 blankets and helping 135 girls get married, providing 50 wheelchairs for people with special needs in addition to financing 145 micro-enterprise projects with funding of EGP 21,000 per project.
