Egyptian Steel Starts the Revamping of the 5th Village in the Initiative of Developing the Neediest Villages in Upper Egypt

As part of Egyptian Steel’s initiative that was launched last June to develop the neediest villages in Upper Egypt, the development of “El Sheikh Fadl’s Village” in Menya governorate – 5TH village in the initiative- has started in cooperation with Dar El Orman Association.

Egyptian Steel’s team inspected the village last week to determine its status and requirements and to identify the houses that need to be revamped or reconstructed.

The village development project will include the revamping and reconstructing of 50 houses including interior and exterior paints, installation of doors, windows, plumbing and internal electricity connections, providing of 50 heads of cattle to poor families with a monthly insurance policy and giving a sum of money to 15 individuals who are getting married. In addition, the revamped houses will be supplied with furniture for 2 rooms, reception and kitchen.

The development of this village will take approximately 2 months to be inaugurated at the beginning of next June.

Egyptian Steel and Dar El Orman Association successfully finished the revamping of 4 villages (Mahdy EL Akhram, ElGharkad and Abo Saleh in Ben Sueif governorate – Awlad Yehia’s Village in Sohag governorate)

The development projects in these villages included the revamping of 183 houses, distribution of 250 heads of cattle with an insurance policy of 400 pounds per month.

Also 1000 kg of meat, 1,500 pieces of clothing, and 1,000 blankets for 500 families and 15 wheelchairs for people with special needs have been distributed in the village. An amount of 5000 pounds was given to 15 girls who were getting married and loans were provided for 15 individuals to establish micro-enterprise projects.
