Egyptian Steel Wins Environmental Compliance and Sustainable Development Award

Egyptian Steel Group has been awarded the large industrial entities’ prize in the “Pioneering Businesses for Sustainable Development Competition” for 2016 launched by The Environmental Compliance and Sustainable Development Office in the Federation of Egyptian Industries.
 
The Competition was held in Egypt for the third consecutive year to highlight various success stories of companies within the industrial sector that were engaged in community services and environmental initiatives during the past year, while raising awareness about the benefits of such initiatives on the environment, communities, as well as the workplace.

 200 Egyptian companies participated in this competition, Egyptian Steel was among the only 4 large industrial enterprises that excelled in this regards and won the award.
 
Dr. Sherif Al Gebili Chairman of the Chamber of Chemical Industries distributed the awards. Mr. Sherif Fawzy the Group Corporate Development Director of Egyptian Steel Group received the award on behalf of Mr. Ahmed Abou Hashima.
 
Eng. Tariq Tawfiq Deputy Chairman of the Federation of Industries, Eng. Mohamed Abo El Soud President of the Egyptian Environmental Affairs on behalf of the Minister of the Environment, Dr. Sherin Al Sabagh on behalf of the Minister of Industry and Trade, Dr. Hanan Shaker Undersecretary of the Ministry of Manpower on behalf of the Minister of Manpower, and Niels Chretien the Director of the Federation of Danish Industries, and Eng. Ahmed Kamal, Executive Director of the Environmental Compliance Office in the Federation of Egyptian Industries attended the event.
