Egyptian Steel receives the Environmental Commitment Award

For the third time, Egyptian Steel Group has been awarded the large industrial entities prize in the “Pioneering businesses for sustainable development” competition for 2018 launched by “The Environmental Compliance and Sustainable Development Office in the Federation of Egyptian Industries.

The Minister of Environment, Eng. Ahmed Kamal the Executive Director of The Environmental Compliance and Sustainable Development Office in the Federation of Egyptian Industries and Dr. Sherif Al-Gabali, Chairman of the Chamber of Chemical Industries handed the award to Mr. Wael Farouk, Executive Director for Treasury and Investor Relations at Egyptian Steel Group.

The Environmental Compliance Office said that Egyptian Steel Group succeeded in executing projects that aim to achieve the UN Sustainable Development Goals and preserve the environment.

This came during the regional “SD Growth Conference” - The UN Sustainable Development Goals and Business opportunities For the Private Sector which is organized by the Environmental Compliance Office, headed by Eng. Ahmed Kamal, in cooperation with industry federations in Denmark, Jordan, Tunisia and Morocco.

The list of winning companies included Egyptian Steel Group, Egyptian Salts & Minerals Company, Sanofi Egypt, Agiba Petroleum, Perla Carbon Alexandria, Alexandria Agricultural Co. - Lamar, 3 Brothers Engineering and Electrical Industries, Bell Clare, Ma’rib International, Laurel Cosmetics,
