Eng. Hisham Al Khatib, the Chairman of Egyptian Steel Group delivered a welcome speech to the guests and stressed on the efforts of Egyptian Steel Group to consolidate the relations and communicate with the contracting companies.

Mr. Ahmed Abu Hashima said that the products of the group are characterized by its high-quality components that comply with international standards & specifications. He added that there are some rolling mills that depend on imported billet from abroad without ascertaining that this billet conforms with international standards & specifications.

He said that we, in Egyptian Steel know the details and accurate data of each steel cast, unlike some other plants which guarantees the high quality of our products. Many new steel rolling mills have entered the market and some of them use billet from unknown sources and this is very dangerous.

Mr. Ahmed Abu Hashima stressed on the group's interest in opening new ways of cooperation by starting to receive valid suggestions from the attendees; he suggested holding a semi-annual meeting like this one to measure the performance in addition to providing benefits to the contracting companies in case of the execution of large deals.

The attendees tour covered the whole production line from the continuous scrap charging then the continuous casting stage passing by the rolling mill to the cooling bed then the final bundling of the product for shipping. They also visited the laboratories and performed tensile strength and bend tests successfully.
